Oluwatobiloba and Feyisayo: The Perfect Fit

Start Reading

Tobiloba and I met for the first time at Shiloh in 2020. Although we didn’t talk much, it was a very brief introduction. The following year, I became more frequent at the Social Media Unit office, where Tobiloba served, because my sister, Konyinsola, is a member of the unit, and I would go there to see her almost every Sunday. I think that’s when Mr. Tobi started catching feelings 😂. In his own words: “Such poise.”

To be honest, we didn’t talk much back then until sometime in August 2021, after the Annual Youth Alive Convention (AYAC), when we exchanged numbers. That’s when we started speaking more consistently. And the rest, as they say, is history!

Our first date was at the Covenant University Guest House restaurant—this was actually before we officially started dating. It was very cute, and we were both shy 😂. On the day we started dating, we had lunch at a restaurant at Ikeja City Mall, after which we saw a movie together. Then, Tobiloba asked me to be his girlfriend.

One of the most memorable days of our journey was when we attended a wedding at Ogudu. For the first time, we had deep conversations about our journeys, and that really defined our relationship.

The day Tobiloba proposed and asked me to marry him was a huge and well-planned surprise with just the both of us.
